Microsoft April 2023 Patch Day

Microsoft published numerous product updates with the April Patch Day with 97 patches for security vulnerabilities.

Microsoft distributes updates for Windows, Office and other products every second Tuesday of the month. Microsoft currently offers 97 patches for security vulnerabilities in Windows, Office and other products for download. These also fix seven issues marked as critical. One vulnerability is being actively exploited, which is why users should use these updates.

7 critical vulnerabilities fixed

Once a month there are security updates for Microsoft products such as Windows and Office. The Patch Day in April 2023 is no different with 97 updates and closes 7 gaps classified as * critical*. The remaining 90 security issues carry the less explosive label of important. Half of the security vulnerabilities are Remote Code Execution Bugs (RCEs). With this remote code execution, attacked systems are tricked into running malicious programs for their attackers.

It is advisable to let Windows Update run for the next few days or to get the updates directly. But no matter which version of Windows 10 or 11 you are using, you should import the updates fast, because there is one security vulnerability that is already being used for attacks.
